Since the day National Marker Company opened in 1934, the company has honored their timeless traditions of safety and quality. Over 81 years later, the NMC team strives to accomplish the same two goals, by manufacturing the highest-quality safety identification products, and to help make the world a little bit safer. NMC started off in Pawtucket, RI as a fire warning sign screen printer, manufacturing extinguisher labels to specialized printing for retail stores in the 80’s. As time went on, workplace safety awareness heightened, and in turn their line of safety identification products grew. To accommodate their significant growth, in 1999 NMC moved to a larger location in North Smithfield, RI.

Soon after, in 2012 President Michael Black became the new owner of NMC. His vision for future success was fueled by passion, love for his team and the desire to always give back to the community while maintaining transparency throughout his journey. NMC has doubled their size and speed through technical advancements, developing the company’s state-of-the-art facility, and embracing new leadership and talent throughout all levels of the organization; NMC continues to grow to better serve their customers in all their safety communication needs.
